These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RentAura mobile application and related services ("RentAura", the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What RentAura is
RentAura is a tool that helps property owners and their tenants organize rental information — properties, lease periods, documents, payments, expenses, and maintenance requests. RentAura is a record-keeping and productivity tool. It is not a landlord, tenant, real-estate broker, property manager, payment processor, lender, or law firm, and it is not a party to any lease or agreement between you and any other person.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents, images, and information you add to RentAura ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (including generating text from documents and producing summaries as described in §4). You are responsible for having the rights to upload Your Content and for ensuring it does not violate any law or the rights of others.
4. AI features are informational — not legal advice
Important. RentAura's "extract lease details" and "lease review" features use automated AI to read and summarize documents. Their output may be incomplete or inaccurate, can misinterpret a document, and is provided for convenience and informational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice and is not a substitute for review by a qualified professional. Always verify important terms against the original document and consult a professional before making decisions.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; upload malicious code; attempt to breach security or access data that isn't yours; misuse another person's information; or interfere with the Service's operation.
6. Payments & financial records
RentAura lets you record payments, receipts, and expenses for your own bookkeeping. RentAura does not process, hold, or transfer funds, and does not verify the accuracy of amounts you enter. You are responsible for the correctness of your financial records.
7. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. During testing periods the Service may be unstable or change without notice.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentAura disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentAura and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its users.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
